LIP SYNC CONTEST TO BENEFIT FRIENDS OF FAMILY PLANNING
The evening was a total success! No one wasn’t happy! Thanks everyone who helped make this such a fun fundraiser and evening! Sing to Support Island Sexual and Reproductive Health Programs and Projects
Show your talents and have fun channeling your favorite performer! Enjoy a night out to support Friends of Family Planning at the Lip Sync Contest on March 7, 2020 7-10pm at the PA Club in Oak Bluffs.
Performers needed! Take your song out of the shower and into the spotlight. The best of the best will win cash prizes, $500 for first, $250, for second and $100 for third place. Performers can register by emailing FOFPMVI@gmail.com and paying a $30 fee. March will be less maddening and February will be filled with fun practicing and perfecting your act. Deadline to register is February 22, 2020 and the number of acts is limited. Don’t delay.
Bring your friends ($10 admission) since winners are chosen by the audience. After the show, more music and dancing will finish off the night. Enjoy an entertaining night out to supports Friends of Family Planning of Martha’s Vineyard. The organization supports the Family Planning Clinic on the island and supports compassionate, inclusive, life spectrum sexual health care for all people in our community. Its vision is to provide for an island where all people are empowered to access quality sexual health services in a non-judgmental, affirming, respectful environment.
Community initiatives of Friends of Family Planning include the Monthly Tide Project that provides high-quality, organic menstrual products to the Island Food Pantry and the Martha’s Vineyard Family Planning Clinic; the Abortion Access Fund which provides money to people who need, but cannot afford off island abortion care and associated expenses, and the Vasectomy Reimbursement Program that supports the costs of vasectomies, follow-up care, and travel expenses for individuals.
One Hundred percent of profits at this special event will benefit Friends of Family Planning. Friends of Family Planning President, Terre Young shares her enthusiasm for the event, “ I am excited that our board members are able to host such a fun event. I am looking forward to seeing the island talent come out with your best impersonations to wow our crowd. Practice up!!”
